- Hobbies trying to remember
- Music: definetly not rap
Thanks to Di, when I was posting her memory all I could think of was my sisters ice skating lessons at the Michael Kirby ice skating school. I don't remember where it was located in Illinois but I froze every time I had to go and had to stand there with my parents and watch her ice skate.
After awhile my dad would let me go outside, even after her tried warming me up with a hot chocolate from the vending machine. Outside I would have to contend with the only entertainment I had, looking in the pipe shop window. This was a store directly outside and next to the skating arena. I did like to see all the hand carved pipes, but you can look at them just so long.
Another thing I did was take a short walk down the street to a home that a guy built in the form of a castle. There was a spot on one of the ramparts you were allowed to go and he had a fountain put there so people could have a drink of water. My father thought it was funny when he said, "go ahead, take a sip," man, that water not only smelled like rotten eggs, but also tasted like it to. He told me that it was like that because of a high iron content.
- Hobbies
- Music:
I'm going to post this email memorey for my cousin Diane Astrella because it was something I never knew and it helped me reconnect to my past.
From Diane,
When you told me you have aquariums, it instantly brought back memories of your Mom and Dads house in Chicago. I could see the aquarium under your TV set. Isn't it funny what you remember. I also remember Pat letting me try on her ballet shoes and trying to teach me to stand on my toes. WOW - talk about a long time ago. It sure was a wonderful childhood and a more peaceful time. I remember when I was a hair dresser and I used to do Yolanda's hair.
This was a great memory, thanks Di

- Hobbies I don't think Pudgy had a hobby
- Music: Howling good music
One of the coolest dogs I knew, besides our family dog Prince was Pudgy. I don't know what kind of dog he was, but he was cool. Everytime we visited I liked being with Pudgy.
- Hobbies getting up in the morning

- Music: funeral dirges

As I've stated, here is the perfect place to begin jotting down your memories and stories.
Such as visiting my Uncle Stan and Aunt Helen's home.
I remember always looking for that stuffed chipmunk she had on the kitchen shelf. Uncle Stan loved fishing and would bring home his catch. I can't remember which cousin, either Carolyn or Nancy liked touching the fish's eyes. Yuchhhh!
Remeber the bar he had downstairs?
Now it's your turn, don't be afraid, go ahead and let us know your stories.
